When a blog is new it has a low readership and returning visitors. Over a period of good time when your website finally starts getting the attention it deserves you will gradually start getting comments.

This post is based on the previously written article on Reasons why people will comment on your blog.

These are some evil little tricks to increase the potential of your blog posts getting comments. There are several plugins for wordpress that you can use to improve readers experience and provide them free incentives.

Here is a simple guide you can follow to increase your blog comments potential.

Make your blog DoFollow

You can find a good long list of dofollow blogs on internet. Many bloggers write about such list of blogs that are dofollow and you can find one good list if you search on Google right now. DoFollow attribute lets search engines know that the links on their blog can be followed, helping you to increase your back links.

If you are using wordpress then you can find a plugin to make your blog dofollow.

Use Top Commentators Plugin on Sidebar

Top Commentators plugin for wordpress will add a widget on sidebar that will display a specified number of readers who commented on your blog with their URL on the name. This can encourage your visitors to comment on your post to get on to that list.

The advantage for them here is that the widget is sitewide being on sidebar and hence the commentator will get hundreds of back links from that website since all the posts and pages will have the commentators URL on them.

Use Comment Luv and Keyword Luv Plugins

Comment Luv is a plugin for wordpress that automatically fetches the latest post from Commentators URL and displays it along with the comment. This can help commentator increase deep back links for their website.

Similarly, Keyword Luv lets commentators add keyword next to their name in order to set a back link on their desired keyword.

These plugins can highly increase the potential of your website getting more comments and returning visitors.

Writing SEO Content to Increase Organic Traffic https://www.ingbase.com/monetizing/writing-seo-content-increase-organic-traffic/ https://www.ingbase.com/monetizing/writing-seo-content-increase-organic-traffic/#comments Tue, 16 Nov 2010 03:48:25 +0000 ingbase.com https://www.ingbase.com/?p=1242 I have been reading on other huge blogs about how to blog or write posts, and many of them discussed a point to get personal in your blog posts. But that cannot be good when you start a new blog.

Getting personal can mean anything from discussing a topic other than what your blog is primarily about or simply your personal experiences or an event. Many bloggers does that.

Last month i wrote an article on how i solved wordpress 3.0.1 widgets drag and drop problem and its so well indexed by search engine that i get hundreds of visitors from search engines for those keywords.

If it wasn’t for that article i wrote that day, i wouldn’t be getting so many visitors for this website.

When you blog, what you write does matter

When you start a new website, it is necessary to write SEO titles and use relevant keywords in the article consistently. It can be good to get some organic traffic to your website.

The primary focus is always to get traffic.

When is it the right time to get personal?

If you are blogging then the right time to get personal in your blog is when you develop a consistent readership. When you have enough traffic and returning visitors to your blog.

So one of the focus should be to attract traffic and write articles from that perspective. Writing about a personal event at first won’t bring in any good traffic. If you have a huge readership then those posts on your events  and other personal experiences will be shared by them if they find it useful. But at first place, it is unlikely to generate any organic traffic.

Then it won’t really matter what you write about, your posts will always be read by hundreds of visitors.

For this article i could have written a very informal title but i had to write it from SEO point of view and as long as it makes a total sense and is relevant to what the article content is about, the title is totally fine.

This article is based on my experience so you can try following it if your blog is new. The whole point is to get organic traffic and develop a consistent readership.

Different Types of Blog Posts https://www.ingbase.com/monetizing/types-blog-posts/ https://www.ingbase.com/monetizing/types-blog-posts/#comments Mon, 08 Nov 2010 17:34:40 +0000 ingbase.com https://www.ingbase.com/?p=918 As i have been writing for quite a while, i realized types of articles that can be written on a blog. So i searched on internet to see if i could find some more types and surprisingly i came across Darren’s post that was written way back in 2005.

It’s very well written considering he found out 20 different types of articles that can be written.

You can read the entire list with explanation here: 20 Types of Blog Posts – Battling Bloggers Block

However, i would want to add one more type that i had in mind and its News

Its when you write about an upcoming event and add videos and photos of previous events or write about a heated topic that is currently trending on internet. Many bloggers write about an updates made on widely used CMS and their plugin which increase their websites potential of getting organic traffic whenever the searches are made.

It might go under Darren’s Informational type of posts from his point of view of course.

This type of blog posts can be good as a content on your website to get organic traffic.
