Speed up website pages indexing to get more organic traffic

1

When you start a new website or a blog, it can be in a Google Sandbox for the first couple of months. This is the time when your website usually has very less content and search engines are totally unaware of your website.

Your web pages indexing can be slower at first but that totally depends on how you work out with your website.

This website was started a couple of months ago and is now getting hundreds of organic visitors each day for several keywords. I was very curious to know when this site will get out of Sandbox or whatever those people out there on forums talks about a newly launched website and search engines. I wanted this website to get indexed fast and start getting hundreds of visitors through search engines.

So i had to change the way the posts were being written on this website

XML Site Map and Search Engine Submission

If you are using wordpress or any other CMS, then create an XML site map and submit it to Google, Yahoo and Bing so that they know your website exists and start crawling web pages for indexing.

Unique Content won’t bring organic traffic

Content is king and only unique content. Unique content is important to get a huge traffic but it is not if your blog is new.

When this website was started i was not happy with the number of indexed pages and the traffic that it was getting. So i started thinking from a surfer’s point of view and searched for currently trending keywords on keyword research tools. That way i found out what people were searching online and i started writing on those topics.

Keyword research can help you find high yielding keywords to optimize your web pages. At first you need to get into the fight, get into the competition and let search engines know your website exist and has content.

Writing on the most common topics even when they are already discussed elsewhere can be the best thing to do. However, it is important to write your own views and opinions on them which can make it unique.

That is why i started writing about WordPress plugins, themes, my experiences with CMS and how i solved any issues that i faced. That improved the results and statistics right in the first few days of next month (This Month).

Posting Frequency

Posting Frequency is the most important factor that can decide how fast your website will get indexed. You need to set a number for posting articles each day. I started posting minimum 2 and maximum 4 articles on this site each day.

Now i am surprised to see that my posts gets indexed and starts showing up on the Google search engine results page right within 5 hours of publishing the post live.

And, that is because of followING these simple steps:-

  • Use Keyword Research tools and use appropriate keywords in the post and titles.
  • Write SE optimized titles with long tail keywords in them.
  • Search engine submission and use of SEO plugins.
  • Consistent article posting frequency.

I am also a big believer in Long Tail Keywords – I’ve been able to rank in the top 5 spots doing as you suggest… Good keyword research and Long Tail Keywords.
