Many blog owners these days are asking about the next Google page rank update dates on forums and other communities. The thing is, you need to focus more on getting traffic and back links. Imagine if the page rank is updated for most sites and you find your blog’s PR stuck at 0. That is a huge loss considering you have waited so long for the PR update. Google does not update Page Rank all the time unlike Alexa rank.
It happens randomly for random websites as per what i have been reading on forums. You might find your website with a higher page rank today but that does not mean it has been updated for all the blogs on internet.
I personally feel that the more time i get before the next page rank update, the more chances are to get a higher PR because until then i could focus on getting a good number of quality backlinks and a stable traffic.

Page Rank 7 Blog - Not Really, Just Hoping
The last Page Rank update took place in April 2010. Since then few webmasters have claimed to have their websites PR updated. Some blog owners have noticed their inner pages getting a Page Rank. You cannot predict when the next PR update will take place. Only Google and God knows when that will happen.
The chances are, some of your inner pages might get a Page Rank, but your home page will have the highest PR because all the web pages on your website are basically linking to the home page.
Also at a times the domain name and the home page can have different page ranks too.
For example: https://www.yourdomain.com/ can have a higher page rank say PR5 but https://www.yourdomain.com/index.php can have a different page rank say PR3.
The rumor says, it will hopefully happen between December 2010 and January 2011.
Why Does a Good Page Rank Matter?
Page Rank is the Google’s view of importance of the web page. You need to get back links from other high PR websites to get a good PR.

Having a good PR does not necessarily mean that the website has a high traffic. You should basically be more concerned about your website position on search engines and consistent unique visitors.
Many flat rate advertisers will look for a better PR websites. The higher your PR is the more price you will get for their ads on your website. But PR is not that important, the focus should be on website position on SERP, organic traffic and the over all traffic from other sources.
There are many webmasters who actually cares about PR and hence will pay you more even if you do not have a good traffic.
We all know that PR is not more important but it means lot’s of. While all predictions about Google PR update go wrong. We hope this happen in the last month of 2010 and 30 or 31 is for the Google PR update. So try to put your all best efforts to get PR. Then Let see…

Google page rank updates seem to be few and far between now, however we did just get one on some of our other sites, we went from 0 to 3 which is great.
