The title may sound like a direct punch but actually it might not be the case.
Many months back i had written an article about two possible ways of traveling a bit faster than the speed of light on one of my other blog. I shared it on some social bookmarking websites like reddit and some others that i don’t remember anymore. And i got many negative comments on it saying it was not at all possible. These commentators looked like as if they were from some serious scientific educational background. I was disappointed and thought that may be i just made a fool out of myself and i erased the post and deleted the article from that blog.
I had basically written about an object that could be pushed by light. And by light i did not really mean by photons but strong stable laser beams. These laser beams could actually push a small capsule ahead of it making it stay ahead of light and reach the speed of the light. The other way was to create a powerful photon burst engine that could push the capsule at an enormous speed in the space.
After few months recently, it was just a month back i was watching this space, time and travel related show on Discovery channel and they were explaining possible theories of traveling at a speed of light.
In the middle of the show they had this small part with two other possibilities of traveling faster at a speed of light and when i watched it, my mind was blown away. I was shocked to see those two ways were written by me months back on my blog! I was put down by negative comments and it influenced me because i have no psychics background.
You see, you don’t really have to be a smart ass to make a huge discovery or invent something big. All these richest people in the world, CEOs of the top companies like Bill Gates, Micheal Dell, Mark Z, etc etc are not even fully graduated but are drop outs.
They just got a random idea out of nowhere, and they worked on it, believed in it and believed it would work and it became a huge success.
I was wondering that how come those two possibilities were shown by them serially after one another? And why as an extra for only a few minutes?
Well, whatsoever, whatever i had thought back in that time was possible and is now proved by those researchers and was shown on Discovery channel. Now screw all those smart ass commentators who tried proving me wrong. The thing is, anything is possible. Thousands of years back people believed the earth was flat based on some obvious and logical facts but now we know the truth. Hundreds of years back people thought it was not possible to fly and now we have airplanes and super sonic jets.
Or is this all a case of how 2 unrelated people can get exactly the same idea that i had written about just a while ago, previous post?
Did i get this idea a bit late?
